Roe v. Wade could be first of many precedents to fall

After the unprecedented leak of Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito's draft majority opinion, nationwide protests occurred. A polarizing social and political issue, abortion rights have been the central focus of advocates on both sides. Yet, due to the language contained in Alito's draft, fundamental LGBTQ+ rights could be at risk.


“The leaked draft of the Supreme Court opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson, a case primed from the outset to overturn Roe, must be a wake-up call,” said Sarah Warbelow, the legal director for the Human Rights Campaign (HRC).
